Still True

Still True

Colors break free into light

I am left wondering,

How is it that you haven’t changed?

We all seem to stretch

How is it that you still meet us where we are at?

Memory is confusion

Is thinking backwards, oh what have I learned?

All that shapes me out of the phase

I have to end and let you begin

There’s a grip that tends without asking:

Is there my haste beyond rebuke?

If all I could do was rest

The best would be the word you gave me in the beginning

And is still true
