Pardon Me

Pardon Me

If I am lost and need reminding

If my box is too small

And I need someone to confide in

I once thought, that all of my want

Would draw me out,

That it would be like a carrot

For me to chase,

Oh, unending

Like a guiding star

My feet still connected to solid ground

Around these walls

They are the only things I have known so far

When the wind blows

I’m inside, who am I?

Dry from the stale air

Drenched in the migrating pale light

That bothers me to and fro

Only so, where to go

Pardon me
