Begging a Patient God

Begging A Patient God

Are you going through the motions with me?

Tempting to hold on,

Not sure what to?

Alleviate the thought, swimming in circles

Why am I inclined,

Broken by some curse reply?

The days are getting shorter

And the light I know you by,

What have I done to this point?

I am scared and I am jealous

You have a way of never seeming here

One foot planted

The other on some plane headed elsewhere

May if I could follow you

See a bigger picture

The light is dimmer

My resolve patient

Behind old vows and closed doors
