Through

Looking through an ocean

The light carries ripples, shadows on golden sands

I don’t have far to go

Till I reach that place

Where all distraction has left

And all I see is you

There’s something apparent

That holds me at your gaze

Perfectly I know it

Even from a ways off

But when I reach for you there

All of the pain melts away

And you are still as simple as a child

A child way before what chased you

What made such confusion

For what we could have spoken could have taken too much time

Memory is a moment stored away

When all we want is freedom:

From the chains and our minds

The ways the waters still reach the shore

And find someone beautiful, perfect once more
